Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Save Guide

The save system in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 might discourage newcomers looking to dive into Medieval Bohemia and the adventures of Henry of Skalitz. To save your progress, you need Saviour Schnapps, which you can buy or craft yourself. Schnapps are limited, yet there are typically many moments when saving would be useful—random encounters, quests with consequences, etc. Fortunately, there’s a mod allowing unlimited saves.

The mod was created by a gamer named EddieShoe. You can download the mod via this link. Please note that there are two versions of the mod:

Safe Mode: Allows saving during calm moments when Henry is not in danger.

Unsafe Mode: Allows saving even during combat, although the mod creator notes this version is less stable.

Installation:

Download the file.

Open the Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 game folder within your Steam directory. By default, it is located at:C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance2\

Navigate to the Mods folder. If it doesn’t exist, create it.

Open the downloaded zip file and extract its contents into this folder.

Your final directory should look like this: \Mods\USII

Usage: Press ‘F5’ anytime during gameplay to quicksave. First, verify that the game allows saving via the pause menu, otherwise, you might encounter problems with your save files. Use at your own risk!
